Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears. The theory behind reflexology is that these points correspond to various organs and systems in the body. By stimulating these points, it is believed that you can promote relaxation, improve circulation, and enhance overall well-being.

Here are some examples of common reflexology points and their corresponding body parts:

Feet

  • Liver: Found on the top of the foot, near the big toe.
  • Kidney: Located on the sole of the foot, about halfway between the heel and the ball of the foot.
  • Heart: Situated on the inner arch of the foot, near the heel.
  • Lungs: Found on the inner arch of the foot, above the heart point.
  • Stomach: Located on the sole of the foot, near the base of the big toe.
  • Intestines: Found on the outer edge of the foot, running from the ankle to the toes.

Hands

  • Head: Located on the tip of the thumb.
  • Neck: Found on the side of the thumb, near the base.
  • Shoulders: Situated on the palm of the hand, near the base of the fingers.
  • Spine: Runs along the side of the hand, from the wrist to the base of the fingers.

Please note: While reflexology can be a relaxing and beneficial experience, it is not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have any health concerns, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional.
